OK, 'Dunger' is my nickname. Not sure of the origins but it has stuck for a few years now. My LotR knowledge is loosely based around the 3 main books and films. Unfortunately I do not extend to the games or other books.

Media's main purpose is to make money, secondly it is to entertain. The more films or games you have the more money is generated, the more entertained the audience is.
3  J. R. R Tolkien's works / The Silmarillion / Re: The Silmarillion on: September 17, 2008, 10:26:13 PM
I haven't actually read this book or infact owned it. I must make a point of doing so.
4  The Lord of the Rings (Films) / The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King / Re: soldiers of gondor suck! on: September 17, 2008, 10:22:06 PM
They don't suck, they were just faced with a foe so large and set upon their demise that they stood no chance at all, think Leonidas and his 300 Spartans against the hordes of Persia.
5  The Lord of the Rings (Films) / The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King / Re: Your favourite scene on: September 17, 2008, 10:16:32 PM
My favourite would be one of those epic shots which zoom out and scan the landscape, breathtaking. Notably of a 'hero' riding a horse.
6  The Lord of the Rings (Films) / The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers / Re: LotR: TTT on: September 17, 2008, 10:08:11 PM
The battle of Isengard, it brings a tear to my eye, so many good fine ents lost to a worthy cause.
7  The Lord of the Rings (Films) / The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring / Re: My favourite in the trilogy on: September 17, 2008, 10:03:50 PM
The acting was brilliant, all across the board.
8  The Lord of the Rings (Films) / The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring / Re: where did all the battle scenes go? on: September 17, 2008, 10:00:46 PM
While watching the film I can't remember thinking, ohh I wish that was longer or feeling dissapointment for the lack of battles.
9  The Lord of the Rings (Films) / The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring / Re: what Lord of the Rings movies was your favorite? on: September 17, 2008, 09:58:09 PM
You can never beat the first film in a triology. It is where all the fun begins.
